A few suggestions—some of the best entertainment isn’t found in any store or theatre—it’s on the street.  Watch out for the living statues—you never know who may suddenly tap you on the shoulder.  My personal favorite is the psychic cat—you can find him sporting his cape out on any Saturday night.  Finally, the prime spot for celebrity sightings is the Santa Monica Farmer’s Market, held on Wednesday and Saturday mornings.
