A family-friendly charter bus holiday in Baton Rouge
April 27th, 2007Although Baton Rouge is not the kind of International tourist attraction that brings in an influx of tourists every day of the year you will be sure to fall in love with Baton Rouge if you take a charter bus holiday there with your family and friends. From museums to shopping centers, from breathtaking parks to awesome scenery there’s something for everyone there. For example, there’s the Blue Bayou Water Park which has lots of things suitable for kids and adults alike. My kids tried to go for all the rides and activities they had there on our charter bus stop – and yet, it wasn’t enough.
If you’re looking for something completely jaw-dropping for your charter bus holiday in Baton Rouge, try taking the charter bus to USS KIDD! Kid you not, this is where you get to roam and explore a WWII Fletcher-class destroyer! The place has a great very family orientated atmosphere.
The family stopped the charter bus at Baton Rouge Zoo for the kids to mingle around with the wild animals and we also stopped the bus at the Louisiana State Capital for some photo ops. But what surprised us during this charter bus trip to Baton Rouge is our stop at Louisiana Mud Painting Gallery! I bought a couple of original artwork from Henry Neubig – one for my mother and the other for my own home.
Although the kids begged for fast food throughout the charter bus trip in Baton Rouge, I have something to recommend where food is concerned. There’s this cool restaurant called The Melting Pot where the food is mouth-watering, the atmosphere is simple but cozy, the price is affordable and the staff was simply too good to be true!
So, don’t wait, if you’re looking for a place for a charter bus holiday with the whole family, head on out to Baton Rouge!
