Rockford Illinois, experience Midwest hospitality on a charter bus
April 23rd, 2007It wasn’t the number of charter bus attractions in Rockford that made me enjoy this place so much. It was, rather, the unique, warm, and robust atmosphere that truly made my family appreciate this stop on our way to Chicago for a vacation.
For instance, I fell in love with Rockford’s Anderson Japanese Gardens, and our family enjoyed our relaxing walks around the gardens. The guides were friendly and helpful even though I kept asking them about the gardens and types of flowers consistently! The sheer non-existence of Rockford traffic noise from the outside affords you a peaceful walk with nature.
For some putting, go to the Elliot Golf Course by charter bus where we had the annual Thompson putt putt golf tourney. Don’t be fooled into thinking that the course is easy. Some parts of the Rockford golf course will challenge even the best of you.
Another good recommendation for those planning a family charter bus holiday to Rockford Illinois – you’ll just have to take the kids to Trailside Equestrian Center at Lockwood Park! This is the best charter bus destination for some fun in the sun where the place is immaculately clean. For music lovers, take the charter bus to Starlight Theatre at Rock Valley College. This is Rockford’s oldest outdoor stadium where there is constant live performances to enjoy. I loved the bands that performed there – by the time I headed back up to the charter bus, the songs were just ringing off in my head.
Overall, my family and I had a great time in Rockford. Althought the city might be overshadowed by its large neighbor to the east, a Rockford charter bus rental was truly memorable for us.
