This past Halloween student government at my university planned a trip to Knott’s Scary Farm. They chartered buses for over 200 students to travel to the event. Our drivers were courteous and knew the best route out to Orange County. Student government surprised us with access to the Pre-Scare Dinner at Knott’s Scary Farm, thus allowing us to enter the park before it even opened to the general public. We then had all night to roam the frightening mazes and ride the roller coasters—needless to say we were either screaming or laughing…or both. I will say that I’m glad that I traveled in a large group to this event—otherwise it may have been a little too much for this otherwise fainthearted student. It was also wonderful that after the event we were able to laugh and relax on the ride home—it would have been an especially long night if I would’ve been driving a car back from the event. While the Knott’s Berry Farm charter buses were not the main focus of the evening they definitely made a difference in the general success of our event.
