Escape in a charter bus to Door County, Wisconsin
February 26th, 2007Need a break from the hustle and bustle of work? Looking to go somewhere for some fine dining, family fun and fresh air? Look no further north than Door County, Wisconsin and let the BusBank make your trip even easier with a Wisconsin charter bus rental.
Our Chicago-based senior group at church wanted to plan a special outing this past fall and was hoping to head up north for a fish boil, Christmas shopping and spectacular views of the autumn colors. We decided to rent a charter bus to avoid the trouble of organizing a car pool and, given the rise in gas prices, save money in the long run. Having the Door County charter bus accessible was extraordinarily helpful; although we stayed at the White Pines Victorian Lodge B&B in Sturgeon Bay, we wanted to go up to Ellison Bay for the fish boil at the Viking Grill. On Saturday we took a leisurely drive up and back down the peninsula, marveling at the colors, grabbing an ice cream cone at Malibu Moo’s Frozen Griddle in Fish Creek and spending some time at the shops in Sister Bay. The trip was an overwhelming success and, while it wasn’t the focus of our trip, chartering a bus definitely made our trip to Door County even easier to plan and complete. We have already planned our trip for next year, same time same place, same great Door County charter bus provider, The BusBank.
